Challenge
EVA AIR has been present in Central European markets for over 20 years and in 2018 they challenged us to promote the appeal of the 5-star airline and position it as the airline of choice for travellers looking for comfort on their way from Vienna to popular destinations in Asia.
Solution
Two-month integrated marketing campaign in Slovakia, Hungary and Czech Republic in cooperation with Pelikan, one of the biggest OTAs in the region and Pelipecky, one of the most popular online travel magazines in the Central European region.
The aim of the campaign was to popularise the brand across the markets with taglines such as “The best airline in the world”, “To Asia with 5-star Eva Air” Love at first sight”, “Why everyone loves Eva”. The focus of the campaign content-wise were not only luxurious EVA AIR services, but also destinations such as Thailand and Bali, selected due to their popularity among Central European travelers.
Results
Facebook reach – over 620 000 people across 3 markets
EVA AIR branded content articles – over 16 000 views
More than 200 000 impressions on Pelikan homepages across the 3 markets
Sales performance via partner OTAs increased by almost 316% in a YtY comparison
The top performers were destinations Bangkok and Denpasar.
